DVF is partnering with Gap Kids, making the famous wrap dress in a mini size. Does it get any cuter than that?

Glitzy Boots - DIY

Here is a story on why I think blogging is so awesome..

So Sissy at Blue Hydrangea, my go-to stop in the morning for blog reading, posted these boots this morning requesting the source.



How snazzy right?? A glitzy kick to a classic fall ankle boot.

Well the day goes on and the commenter's come in and the source is Barneys {of course} for a pretty penny of $595 found here.

Sad? Don't be...another awesome blogger Rikshaw chimes in and brings light for the el cheapos.

They are a DIY.

Rikshaw found these boots via A pare & A spare who teamed up with another creative blogger Le Fanciulle and they took these simple boots....

Can you believe it?? Total cost about $25. Of course they are not as sparkly or perfect as the real deal, but for that price tag and a current fall trend, how much better can it get?

Per the wsj, women lined up well before stores opened their doors and by mid morning some stores were sold out.

The things we women do for a steal. I'll bypass the traffic and talk the husband into buying me the real deal. KIDDING. I hope to check it out this week!

Fire & a Fall Color

One of my besties EED talked me into HOT Yoga yesterday at Red Hot Yoga.

105 degrees for 90 minutes.

First time trying yoga- of course it would be in scorching temperatures.

Reporting back, I actually really did like it. Didn't realize a girl was capable of perspiring so much, but loved the detox feeling. Not going to lie, I spent a good 60 min feeling nauseous and dizzy and thinking of an escape method in case I had to upchuck- but I would do it again & would recommend it. I also felt like a total loser when I started seeing stars which prompted me to just lie on the mat for a solid 5 minutes- but whats an amateur to do?! Besides, the teacher's only requirement for first timers was to stay in the room the entire time, so consider it a Success! 

Speaking of Hot, the temps are still going strong in the Atl, but my inbox is starting to fill with Fall Fashion emails. One recent was from Pantone, a color expertise site. {Not sure how/why I get emails from them}

Check out the #1 color for Fall. Being a Color girl, this gets me really excited.

Recipe: Island Style

Since returning from vaca, one thing we already miss is the fresh cuisine.

A popular dish in the Turks and other Caribbean islands is the Conch Salad

We went 'conching' two days on a boat and it was tons of fun. {There just so happened to be the exact number of conchs for the exact number of people on the boat} Coincidence?! I really thought I found one & got a tad bit overly excited.

So with island inspiration in mind, JH whipped up a delicious dinner the other night..

Seared Tuna with Conch Salad sans Conch

Tuna Ingredients & Preparation:

-Fresh Tuna filet's seared lightly in olive oil on stove top
-Kobe Coast Ginger Wasabi Teriyaki to coat after cooking {pic below}

Salad Ingredients & Prep:

-1 green & 1 red pepper
-1 med size red onion
-cilantro
-2tsp. Garlic
-small Cherry tomatoes
-Chop and mix together. Add Lemon Juice to your taste.

Here you have it:
