Good Mornin',

A big fan of pretty fonts and patterns, I am on the hunt for new gift tags. Nothing is as pretty as a perfectly wrapped present and a personalized hand-written note card attached.

Trends for Tots: DVF for GAP

Good Morning!

This post doesn't really apply to most LTK readers; however, it is too cute not to share.

They say the best things come in small sizes and they may be just right.

DVF is partnering with Gap Kids, making the famous wrap dress in a mini size. Does it get any cuter than that?

Mark your calendars. In stores March 15th.

I'm picturing another Missoni Madhouse.

Loving...

...that it's Friday.

...this DIY necklace from a very talented blogger, here. can i just purchase?

...the new Tom Flat's

These pink pretties have my name written all over them.

Anyone own? If so, are they comfortable?

...And lastly, this diva pup has made herself quite comfortable lately. We got bold one night and let her sleep on a dog bed in our room (instead of crate). This is where I found her early the next morning.

What?

Thank goodness it's just a $50 thrift chair from an estate sale.

Happy Weekend Friends!

Guest Blogger: Bradley's Boxwoods

Today is a special day. We have a Guest Blogger. Exciting Right?!

Introducing a talented friend & loyal reader -Bradley, banker by pay but blog reader & lover of all design by day. woah, did i just say that?

She just built a fancy house and now gave her green thumb a go.

Without further a do:

LTK readers…

Do you lie awake at night wondering what to plant in your front porch pots? Neither do I! Yesterday was my first time to plant anything, ever. Because it was so very easy, I want to share.

MISSION: I was inspired to warm up my front porch with potted plants to make it more inviting. Also, I was feeling guilty that the pots I received for Christmas were still sitting empty.

My mother-in-law, Lindsey, is a master gardener, so when I mentioned using fake plants (I’m aware it’s tacky) - she immediately offered to help.

We started with 2 lonely pots…

Your pots should be at least as tall and as wide as the plant you pot in it. Also, make sure your pot has a hole on the bottom to ensure drainage. Lindsey put a cloth over the hole to keep dirt from draining out.

What to plant? Since the front porch is fully shaded, and it’s February, my pots need a hardy evergreen. Boxwoods are the nearest thing to no maintenance. Perfect for someone who was seriously willing to use fakes.

We went to a nursery with a 1 year guarantee to find 2 of similar shape and size.

These looked pretty close in size to us. Aren’t boxwoods pretty? I like that they are dense and green year-round.

I wanted to plant ivy at the base of the boxwood to cascade over the top of the pot. I love this look, but it takes a while for the ivy to grow. For the ‘instant effect’, we bought hanging ivy to use.

Next we filled the pot with MIRACLE GROW fertilized soil to 8” from the top of the pot

Then, we placed the boxwood in the pot and covered it with soil

Lookin’ good so far.

Next, Lindsey had the awesome idea to cut each basket of ivy into 2 pieces. We planted pieces of ivy around each of the boxwoods for our finished product.

TA DA!

Impressive or what??  SO good looking!! Are you in business yet??

And can you believe that front door??

We will sucker her into more guest posts invite her back for more house tours.

Until next time, Thank you for sharing Brad!

*Wanna guest post? Would love to have you!

Monday, Monday

Hi! I am home today celebrating our President's. Thank goodness. The weekend was so beyond fun that I am still exhausted today. And I think I slept 12 hours last night.

We had a blast! Can you imagine 13 girlfriends in one house at the beach?! As mentioned, this bride is fun. Tons of fun. She was the perfect bachelorette & totally rocked it all weekend.

We've made a pact that most pics would stay within the group. Don't worry we were well behaved, it's just ...what happens in Folly, stays in Folly.

Here are a few just to recap the perfect weekend.

Notice how the pics get blurry as the night goes on....oops.

Delivered...

The sweet husband asked me if I could run home at lunch & let the dog out because "he had a meeting."

This is what I found...

&

Actually, they were both sitting on the kitchen counter in clear wrapping, but it's the thought, right?!

My 2 fave flowers. Love them!

I showed my love for him with this card...

{sorry so blurry - this image is from tiny prints. i forgot to take an iphone pic & its too funny not to document}

&

Pretty napkins from World Market.

See, per the husband, we don't use paper towels in our house - the verdict is still out if this is a truly green thumb 'rule' or just plain cheap. So, I thought these cuties would add a little prettiness to our nightly meals.

You could imagine his expression when he opened them. They say it is a girl holiday hallmark holiday after all, right?

Antler Art

Scott's is this weekend. I'm in the market for a small, chic antler - do those exist?! - to put above a framed print in our dining room.

Do you think the antler craze is dated?
