Looking back on 2012

We are 16 days into the new year and I'm bringing back 2012. I keep delaying a recap of our Christmas trip & the holidays; for whatever reason it seems like a daunting task, so I'm going to put it off even longer.

I'm putting off a weekend recap post, yet I thought it would be fun to look back over the past year and compile a list of highlights of 2012. Call it nesting or an abundance amount of free time at work--I'm in the list making mood! It's fun looking back and seeing our year...after putting together this little recap, it appears we spend 0 weekends at home! I have a feeling 2013 is going to be a little different :)


January:

Snuck away to the cabin with good friends...

February:

South Florida for a 'work' trip ...

Began a year long committment to a small group we would get to know & love - can't believe I don't have a pic of our crew!

Charleston for Tina's FUN bachelorette...

March:

Wigged out for our first friends 30th birthday...

Back to Chucktown to celebrate Tina & Kirk...

More bachelorette'ing in Delray Beach to celebrate cousin Marion...

April:

Hosted Easter & Master's Sunday at our house...

Celebrated lots of birthdays, including my dad's big 6-0. (& John's 31--they share a bday!)

Big Pop's present to himself...planting trees!

Covered the west coast for a work trip & a little pleasure in the wine country with hubs...

May:

Planned a big work function in Memphis & planned a fun neighborhood party...sadly the only pic I have from the party...

Beached it for our annual cabinet trip...year 29! Sadly no pics...I think I was finally tired.


Sweet godchild, Kate, was born!

June:

Lake Rabun gettaways with friends...

Another fun Charleston Wedding...

Cousins wedding in Atlanta that was a record 103 degrees!

July:

Ran the Peachtree Road Race for the first time ever with my running coach Shell!

Fun Lake Martin & beach weekends with friends...

Broke ground on the master addition after months of planning...

And, made a Baby!!!!!

August:

Hid from friends while baby was cooking away & focused on addition progress...

Celebrated three years at Antica Posta over ginger ale and pasta!

September:

Football games in Athens...

Last beach trip of the year to Amelia over Labor Day...

Let the secret out of the bag after a healthy 12 week ultrasound!

October:

Team Hayden Run...

Wrapped up addition and asked ourselves WHY we waited so long to do this...oh yea money!


Finn turned 1 & was thrilled!

November/December:

Godson's Will First Bday!

Lot's of fun holiday parties - Bradley's annual ornament swap with the preggos...

Trip to NYC...

& Brother got engaged!!

What a year. Looking back, this is such a good reminder how blessed & lucky we are to spend the year traveling the country, celebrating friends and milestones, building new spaces, & making babies!!! Excited to see what 2013 has in store.
