Happy {hot} Weekend

Well hello - anyone still there? I'm a blog slacker. Really the only excuse is my life is somewhat boring (nice) lately. No complaints.

The whole fam dam is in town this weekend for a fun family wedding. The bride is absolutely gorgeous (& genuine too), so I know it will be a good one.

If we survive this heat.

With nothing else to report, I leave you with this little tid bit...

Happy Weekend Dear Friends.

Wedding Weekend in Charleston

This little journal is basically just be a photo collage of our weekends...who cares right?!

It was a weekend for the books. A beautiful, fun wedding for one of JH's best childhood friend. The weather was absolutely perfect - sunny skies with a breeze...in Charleston in June (seriously?), the company was a good time, and the accommodations were ideal- everything in one central spot.

I did something I don't think I ever imagined doing over a wedding weekend but it was awesome. I ran a 5k on Saturday morning- the day after the rehearsal dinner. That's the result of a big Thursday night (always opening night!) followed by an early nighter after the rehearsal dinner on the rooftop of Market Pavilion. It was actually really fun and I enjoyed it. Also made those extra cocktails and wedding cake worth it.

 Now back to the grind...

Weekend Recap: R & R

We had a full weekend at home with no set plans for the first time in months. It was beyond nice!

In a weekends time I was able to ...

exercise, sleep in own bed, morning coffee with husband + dog, errands, yard work (well watch yard work be done), exercise (again), Scott's, fun dinner with friends,  sleep in my own bed (again), coffee with husband + dog (round 2), brunch, exercise (round 3), errands, visit my sweet godchild, bake a casserole for a friend.

You're probably thinking who cares? But my point is usually our weekends go a little something like this...

leave work early yet again, rush home, rush to finish packing, exit atlanta during the worst possible time, sit in bumper to bumper traffic, drive umpteen hours, party all night, wake up hungover, do it all again, then get in the car and make the trek back home only to go to sleep and wake up early for the hustle and bustle.

Anyone relate?

If not, now you see why our weekend was perfect. Not to mention it felt like an eternity.

So, that being said, here is a little catching up in pictures.

We had a dinner party for Team H last week. He is a rock star! Snapped this quick pic of the freshly cut hydrangeas from our neighbors yard. It's been a week and they are still so bright & pretty.

Made the trek to Scott's with a friend (loyal reader). I was on a no spending spree (btw, those suck) and my friend Tina was the opposite. Why is it so fun to watch your friends spend $$??!! She got some great prints and a good looking dresser -wanna do a guest post tina?! Other goods we liked...

Last but not least, our first pickens' from this year's garden.

That's enough rambling for today.

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Happy Weekend

We're off to Lake Rabun for a weekend full of friends and competiton. The boys are playing in a white vs. red, smack talking, beer drinking golf tournament.

I wouldn't be that surprised if it ended like the PDC ruckus.
